Minimalistic Work Makeup

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has been supporting me either by checking back on my blog for updates or just secretly rooting for me in your heart. It’s been a heck of a year and now, I’m ready to bounce back in two different platforms! You can now find me on Youtube for the video version of my blog posts so if you’re going there right now to check it out and subscribe, say Hi in the comment section 🙂 Let’s get started!

Some people have always thought that I use plenty of time and makeup to be presentable at work when I’ve only used five products in less than ten minutes! Here are the five products that just works (Pun intended) for me in a day to day basis. These are the basics:

  • Powder Foundation
  • Concealer
  • Eyeliner
  • Eyebrow Pencil
  • Lipstick/Lipbalm

After cleansing and prepping my face with moisturizer and sunscreen, I’ll grab the concealer to highlight the areas that needs a lil’ pick-me-up; underneath the eyes and around the mouth. I find this to help brighten up and gives the area more coverage.

Using my ring-finger (clean), I’ll very gently pressed the product into my skin to blend it out. Then the remaining product on my finger would be used on the eyelids to erase those showy veins. And also to prime the area, of course.

Now, I love using powder foundations because of two main reasons; it feels super lightweight and I wouldn’t need to powder my face to ‘set’ the makeup. Thus, that extra time can be used for the eyebrows.

3

Using any buffing brush (or the sponge that it comes with), swirl lightly on the surface and start buffing on the face. I like to use small amounts to slowly build the coverage and I’ll run the remains of the product underneath my eyes to set it.

2

I’ve grabbed this gel liner with the brush that came with it and load the brush head with a teeny amount.

4

Amazingly creamy and pigmented, I found that this eyeliner can hold its own for more than 10 hours once it dries down (and it dries down pretty quickly). If you have similar eyelids to mine, you would find that using this would save you cash in the long run because we need HUGE amounts of eyeliner on our lids to be able to see them and those popularly fabulous liquid eyeliners just deplete so rapidly like those cute little ocean creatures from global warming 😦

3

Next, I do my eyebrows with this gem of a find by brushing the brow hairs with the spoolie, filling the gaps with short strokes and erasing mistakes with a cotton bud (Q-tip)

Finally, I top the look of with a color-changing lipbalm for that effortless look. On the other hand, you could whip out your favorite lipstick and put it on.

That’s it! A minimalistic makeup look from 5 makeup items to slay! Slay! Slay! at work 🙂
